LaNiece’s journey is grounded in her lived experiences and a lifelong commitment to amplifying Black voices—especially those of Black women. Her career spans decades of purposeful work, from her early days promoting Black arts, culture, and entertainment, to organizing leadership empowerment programs through BWOPA, to providing high-level media and strategy services to nonprofits and community service organizations via her firm, LA Jones & Associates.

She has also worked at the highest levels of government—shaping policy and messaging as the chief consultant for the California Legislative Black Caucus and later as Deputy Mayor of Oakland. At every stage, LaNiece has built bridges between government, grassroots movements, philanthropy, and the people.

She doesn’t just speak about equity—she embeds it into every press plan, speech, flyer, and campaign rollout. Her approach is warm yet intentional, strategic yet soulful. Whether leading a women’s summit, facilitating a health equity roundtable, coordinating a civic celebration for Black elected leaders, or crafting a fund development narrative for a local college foundation, LaNiece brings clarity, purpose, and deep cultural fluency to every project.
