NCBW Oakland/Bay Area | Positive Steps Mentoring Program Recruitment -Spread the Word

Oakland Bay Area Chapter invites you to join our signature mentoring program, positive steps! / Positive Steps is a mentoring program for young ladies that focuses on personal growth and development.

What is the Positive Steps Program?

  • Positive Steps affords girls ages 12 -18 with an opportunity to further recognize their potential for success
  • Positive Steppers actively participate in various NCBW activities, and their achievements are recognized during the annual Madam C.J. Walker Business & Community Recognition Luncheon
  • Participants receive graduation and participation awards and an opportunity to receive a college scholarship

Why should I join?

  • Make friends from Bay Area Schools
  • Participate in unique activities, events, field trips
  • Talk with professional African American women about educational and career options
  • Build your financial literacy
  • Experience Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (S.T.E.A.M) in new and exciting ways
