A proud Oakland native, LaNiece Jones founded LA Jones & Associates, a marketing, public relations, and events firm, in 1991. She currently serves as Assistant to Oakland’s Interim Mayor, Kevin Jenkins, following her role as Consultant to the Chair of the California Legislative Black Caucus. Prior to that, she led as the Executive Director of the Peralta Colleges Foundation, where she spearheaded efforts to raise scholarship funds for students at Laney College, Merritt College, College of Alameda, and Berkeley City College.
