BWOPA/TILE Hosts Community Listening Session About Hidden Dangers of Second-hand Smoke in Public Housing
On Wednesday, January 31, 2018, the Training Institute for Leadership Enrichment (TILE) along with Oakland City Councilmember Lynette McElhaney, will co-host an educational community conversation about the impact of second-hand smoke in public housing.
Members of the public who have been impacted by second-hand smoke in public housing or wish to learn more about this pressing issues are encouraged to join a facilitated conversation about the intersection of second-hand smoke, public housing, long-term health outcomes and policy solutions. This session is presented in partnership with the Alameda County Public Health Department.
The event will take place from 6 to 8pm at the West Oakland Senior Center, located at 1724 Adeline Street, Oakland, CA. The event is free to the public, and individuals are encouraged to RSVP at: www.smokefreeoakland.
